THE FOUR PLAGUES

Plague #1: Negative Campaigning

Fear. Smears. Lies. That’s not democracy—that’s manipulation.

Arizona voters are exhausted. We’re sick of the mudslinging, personal attacks, and half-truths that dominate our election cycles. Negative campaigning drives good people out of politics and poisons our civic discourse.

We Demand:

  • Truth-in-Advertising Standards for political campaigns.

  • Enforceable penalties for knowingly false or malicious attacks.

  • Candidate Pledges to focus on issues—not insults.

It’s time to demand campaigns based on ideas, not character assassinations. Let’s elevate our political dialogue.

Plague #2: Special Interest Money

Dark money is drowning out your voice.

Corporate PACs, billionaire donors, and shadowy nonprofits are buying influence while regular Arizonans are left out of the conversation. Voters, not checkbooks, should decide our elections.

We Demand:

  • Campaign Finance Transparency: Who’s paying—and why?

  • Contribution Caps that apply equally to individuals, PACs, and Super PACs.

  • Public Financing Options that Level the Playing Field.

We don’t want a government that works for lobbyists—we want one that works for us.

Plague #3: Political Extremism

Polarization is paralyzing progress.

Our politics are being hijacked by the loudest voices on the far left and far right, leaving no room for commonsense, bipartisan solutions. The middle—the majority—is being ignored.

We Demand:

  • Civics Education that teaches compromise and civil discourse.

  • Support for Bridge-Building Leaders over political bomb-throwers.

Let’s bring back balance. Let's reward cooperation, not chaos.

Plague #4: Big Media

When truth is treated like a commodity, democracy suffers.

Corporate-owned media prioritizes outrage and engagement over facts. Social media algorithms amplify the worst voices. Misinformation spreads faster than ever, making it harder for citizens to know what’s real.

We Demand:

  • Investment in Local Journalism that covers Arizona communities honestly.

  • Media Literacy Education in every Arizona classroom.

  • Accountability for Platforms profiting off disinformation.

Informed voters make strong democracies. Let’s make the truth matter again.
