OFFICIAL RULES: “Show Your Frustration, Arizona” Contest
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
1. Eligibility:
The “Show Your Frustration, Arizona” Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the State of Arizona, United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, and agents of Democracy Arizona, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, and promotion agencies, and their immediate families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouses, and grandchildren) are not eligible to participate. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
2. Contest Period:
The Contest begins on October 14th, 2024, at 8:00 and ends on November 30TH,2024 at 23:59 (“Contest Period”). All entries must be received by the end of the Contest Period to be eligible.
3. How to Enter:
There are two ways to enter the Contest:
• Essay Submission: Submit a short essay (No word limit) expressing your frustration with how one of the Four Plagues is impacting Arizona’s election campaigns.
• Video Submission: Submit a video (one minute or less) expressing your frustration with how one of the Four Plagues impacts Arizona’s election campaigns.
No Limit on Submissions.
4. Prizes:
• Ten (10) winning essays will receive $100 each.
• Ten (10) winning videos will receive $100 each.
• One (1) grand prize essay will receive $500.
• One (1) grand prize video will receive $500.
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be substituted for cash or other alternatives, except at the discretion of Democracy Arizona. All federal, state, and local taxes on the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
5. Winner Selection:
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges appointed by Democracy Arizona. Judging will be based on creativity, originality, and the relevance of the submission to the Contest theme. The top 10 essays and top 10 videos will be selected as winners, with one grand prize winner in each category. The decisions of the judges are final and binding.
6. Notification of Winners:
Winners will be notified via email or phone using the contact information provided during entry. Winners must respond within seven (7) days of notification to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond, or does not meet eligibility requirements, an alternate winner may be selected.
7. Grant of Rights:
By entering, participants agree that Democracy Arizona may use the submitted entries (essays or videos) for promotional purposes, including but not limited to posting on social media, websites, and other marketing materials. Entrants grant Democracy Arizona a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from the entries, without compensation to the entrant.
8. Publicity:
By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, likeness, entry, and biographical information for advertising, promotional, and other purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
9. Limitation of Liability:
Democracy Arizona is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical failures, or unauthorized human intervention in the Contest. Democracy Arizona reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest, as determined by Democracy Arizona in its sole discretion.
10. Disputes:
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participants and Democracy Arizona in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules.

This Contest is sponsored by Democracy Arizona.
12. Privacy:
Personal information collected during the Contest will be used in accordance with Democracy Arizona’s privacy policy.
